Overview

Pre-Deposit Vaults are on-chain, time-locked staking contracts that allow TREE holders to earn enhanced yield by backing individual DOR Panelists. By depositing into a vault, you are effectively delegating stake to a specific Panelist whose performance—measured by rate forecast accuracy and participation—directly impacts your final yield.

These vaults serve as the first real utility for TREE and offer early contributors a way to align with the protocol’s core mechanism: the Decentralized Offered Rates (DOR) system.

Each Panelist operates a dedicated vault with a fixed cap. Your stake signals conviction in their forecasting ability. At the end of the staking period, yield is assigned based on how well the Panelist performs relative to others.

Relation to DOR

Pre-Deposit Vaults play a foundational role in bootstrapping the Treehouse DOR network. When Panelists submit rate forecasts for benchmarks like the Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate (TESR), those submissions are aggregated into consensus rates used across the ecosystem. These vaults help to incentivize early community participation in this process by tying rewards directly to forecasting quality.

Panelist Selection

Each vault corresponds to a DOR Panelist. Users are encouraged to evaluate each Panelist’s historical performance, accuracy, and consistency before committing capital. Supporting the right Panelist allows you to maximize returns and strengthen data integrity within the Treehouse rate infrastructure.
