Governance Process
Our governance mechanism is designed to ensure a methodical and inclusive decision-making process. To initiate changes or propose improvements within the Treehouse ecosystem, participants must first submit a written Treehouse Improvement Proposal (TIP) through the Treehouse Governance Forum. Once submitted, these proposals undergo an evaluation process as outlined below.
Initiate discussion on the Treehouse Governance Forum
Admin initiates an official vote on Snapshot
Vote timing
Vote starts 24 hours after creation on the Treehouse Governance Forum
Voting lasts for 72 hours
Outcome
Passes with simple majority (>50% of votes cast)
After the vote closes, the Treehouse team will implement and execute the approved solution

All participants with veTREE are permitted to cast their votes in favor of or against the proposal. Additionally, participants can provide insights and comments, fostering constructive dialogue and community feedback.
With the initiation of the DAO, a set of parameters falls under the community’s jurisdiction for potential change. These parameters include, but are not limited to:
Approving or removing Panelists who participate in the Treehouse's DOR consensus mechanism.
Adjusting the minimum veTREE required for participation in the governance participation.
Deciding on disbursement of funds from the DAO treasury.
Determining the fees to be received by the DAO for its services.
Establishing the quorum requirements for governance votes.
Over time, the range of parameters subject to formal governance votes will expand beyond those listed above. DAO members will have the opportunity to propose changes, subject to approval, reflecting a dynamic and community-driven approach to protocol management.
